Epcot's 2012 Flower and Garden Festival

Mater and Lightening McQueen greet guests in the Japan Pavilion.

This year's Flower and Garden festival at Epcot is extraordinary. I've only seen it May, at the end of the festival, and while it was beautiful, I had no idea how incredible it is at its peak.

Floating pots of flowers dot the water.

Kids will be thrilled to see their favorite characters in the form of topiaries.

Cogsworth, Chip and Lumiere ham it up in France.

Cinderella and Prince Charming  dance by the World Showcase Lagoon.

Woody and Buzz.

And of course, Mickey, shown here at the entrance to the park.

Exhibits ranged from cute and clever for kids to innovative and fun for grown ups.  I loved the bright colors of this outdoor living exhibit.

Cute little kitty made of moss.

One of the highlights of the festival are the play areas for kids.

Playhouse in the outdoor living area.

A great spot for dad to watch the kids while mom
shops in the World Showcase?

Walking back into Furture World.

My favorite part of the entire festival was the Pixie Hollow Fairy Garden.

Silvermist.

Iridessa.

Another play area for the kids.

Rosetta.

Gazebo in the play area.

What better way to spend an early spring day than walking around a gorgeous park, eating, and talking to friends? Simply a beautiful day.

I love the Flower and Garden Festival as well. The moving topiaries are amazing and the small details, so worth slowing down to find.
I love the variety of palm trees they showcase as well.
Thanks for the great photos.

I soooo love the creative and lovely landscaping on Disney property. I live in Tampa, Florida and really enjoy the Disney perks of discounts for Florida residents. Sixteen years ago, I was a cast member who booked Resort, dining, air and ground reservations, sold park and special events tickets and I must say that all perspective Disney guests were the best to assist; they were all excited, upbeat and very gracious. Why shouldn't they have been? They were planning the most magical moment they would ever experience. After all,Disney is all about making dreams come true. I am still a Disney lover today! In fact, I have found the cutest tribute to Disney in a virtual reality social media and have taken several photos of it which I have shared in a blog post. Please visit it and enjoy.
Oh how very glad I am to have stumbled on to this post. First of all, I live in Florida so know that I visit Disney World often. Secondly, I was a cast member back in 1996 and enjoyed the benefits that came with my job as a reservations agent and thirdly, I am also a Second Life citizen and have visited sims which paid homage to Disney Parks. Please visit my blog and see the photos I have posted of my avatars enjoing their visit to a Disney sim on Second Life. I am sure you will enjoy them. http://unscenetomorrows-sl.blogspot.com/2012/03/second-life-sim-disney-tribute.html
