The carrot cake cookie is one of those Disney treats that guests go crazy over, so I thought I'd give it a try on my last trip. Two large, soft carrot cake cookies surround a thick layer of cream cheese frosting. The cookies are slightly spicy. You'll get a hint of cinnamon, allspice and perhaps a little bit of nutmeg. There are no discernible pieces of carrot, but you won't miss it. If I had one complaint, it would be that they're a little too moist, but there are worst problems for a cookie to have.
I'd say that overall, the cookie part of this cake is as good as your average homemade carrot cake and thankfully, unlike a lot of desserts sold in the theme parks, it's not overly sweet. But we all know the real reason anyone eats carrot cake (or hummingbird cake, or red velvet cake for that matter) is the cream cheese frosting. You want a frosting that is slightly tangy, a little sweet, and oh so creamy. This frosting delivers all that without the artificial vanilla taste that you sometimes find in baked goods from a large bakery. It's a good, solid, tangy cream cheese frosting.
These cookies are a close second to the ones I make at home. I think that's saying a lot, that a bakery that serves thousands of guests a day can make cookies that taste like they're made in small batches. Next time you have a few extra minutes, grab a cookie, a book and a cozy chair at the Writer's Stop.
You can also get these cookies at the Beverly Sunset Confectionery Shop located next to Villians in Vogue.

This was my favorite desert on our recent trip! I have been looking everywhere for a recipe. My only complaint...it was too big for just me so I was forced to share! :)
I bet it's supposed to be a whoopie pie....they are more moist than an actual cookie and it's like 2 "cookies" with icing in between them.....either way, it looks SO GOOD.
This is my husband's favorite. He actually volunteers to watch the little one as I go on rides so he can sneak off to get one.
