Will Credit Cards Be Required for all Disney Restaurants?

Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and greens from 50s Primetime Cafe.

We've been hearing the rumors for weeks now and last night it was confirmed by a manager at 50s Primetime Cafe in Hollywood Studios:  Starting in the new year, a credit card guarantee will be required for all Disney table-service restaurants.  Guests will need to cancel 24-hours prior to their reservation or face a $10 per person no-show fee.

I've noticed that since the credit card guarantee was implemented for character dining and signature restaurants back in October, it's been a lot easier to make reservations for clients, so this is a welcome change if it's true.  According to the manager Bob spoke to last night, 40% of WDW reservations are no-shows. Since the new system has been in place, those restaurants which require a credit card guarantee are down to 7% no-shows.

We'll keep you posted if/when the new change occurs.
