Confession Time:I've never actually been to Disney. But I'd love to go. I was raised on Disney movies and stuffed animals. I know every word to Beauty and the Beast...I still think my childhood was serioulsy deprived by not going...
Oh no! I was actually deprived by not going as well. It's funny, but lots of people on the Dis (have you been there) haven't gone, they just like it. Are you thinking of a trip in the future?I don't think you've missed anything by not going on 20,000 Leagues, BTW.
I rode it at Disney World in my youth. I remember nothing about the ride except that it was the place my Dad realized that yes, he actually had claustrophobia for real so after he waited in line with us forever and boarded the faux sub, he HAD to get off--which was an ordeal. The rest of that trip we stayed away from anything enclosed, which was pretty much everything, and spent a lot of time at the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room and the Country Bears' Jamboree.
I remember this attraction. I used to ride it when I was younger, probably before I was a teenager. It wasn't a ride I really miss like just to name a few, "If You Had Wings", "Mr Toad's Wild Ride", "Mickey Mouse Revue" all at Magic Kingdom. "World of Motion" and "Horizons" at Epcot are a few others. Come see my Disney World vacation and let me know what you think. Leave a comment if you like.
I would absolutely love to pack up and go right now...but I'm a broke college kid. I have a feeling my first trip will be with my future kids, and I'll be every bit as excited as they are...lol.
Carrotspeak--I'm thinking the boyfriend needs to take you on a vacation when he gets out of Basic. He should be done with that and AIT around September? Perfect time to go.
Okay - I'm sorry to rain on your favorite place in the world again, but....the one time we went, I really, really, really, really wanted to go on this ride but the line was way too long and my dad made us bypass it. The little sign in front said that it was well over an hour.We stood EIGHT HOURS in line to see the King Tut exhibit, but we could not stand ONE to ride this ride.Hrumpff
